ANNUAL AMERICANISM ESSAY CONTEST All students in grades 5-8 are once again encouraged to participate in this essay contest. The theme this year is "What Does Veterans Day Mean To Me? As Americans, we all have our own individual ideas and concepts of what Veterans Day means to each of us. Students are asked what Veterans Day means to them and are encouraged to participate in this essay contest. All essays are due back no later than January 10th, 2014 to the Skowhegan Elks Club.

CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE There are tags at Pinkhams Store right here in North Anson. Most of the recipients are from our district. Please pick up a tag today. We appreciate your help and time during this Christmas season.

THE SNOWBOARD RIDERS CLUB For students who are interested in joining a SNOWBOARDING club which offers young athletes the opportunity to take advantage of quality programs which are extremely affordable and will empower and assist them to form school teams. These are opportunities for young athletes to compete, if they choose to, in slope style, half pipe, boarder cross/skier cross and snowboard slalom and giant slalom. This club will offer a chance to train with some of the best and most dedicated riders in the state who have the experience and passion to make them successful. The cost is very inexpensive, please visit "The Riders Club" at www.theridersclub.org. If some are unable to pay the club also offers scholarships if they qualify. Why Join? 2014 HOOP SHOOT The Skowhegan Madison Elks hoop Shoot - Foul Shooting Contest will take place at noon on Sunday January 5, 2014. It will be held at the Madison Elementary School. All girls and boys who are ages 8-13 (as of April 1st 2014) are eligible to participate. Participants must register the day of the event between 11:30 -12:00. Please call Hoop Shoot Director Scott Mitchell at 431-1374 for more questions or clarification.

K-5 CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DAY IS TODAY

EARLY DISMISSAL DAY ON FRIDAY 12/20 WHICH WILL START OFF OUR VACATION. WE WILL RETURN ON MONDAY JANUARY 6TH.

5-12 CHRISTMAS BAND/CHORUS PROGRAM ~ 6PM Students are reminded that dress rehearsal is at 12:40 in the gym. All band and chorus students should be there.
